Wheel of Brisbane

Writer's picture: mnjsalsamnjsalsa

The Wheel of Brisbane was built in 2008, manufactured by Ronald A. Bussink, a Dutch wheel designer. It has sister wheels in Paris, Cape Town, Malaysia and Atlanta. With virtually zero air pollution in Brisbane, you can see up to 28 km (17.4 miles) away from the top of the wheel. We thought the wheel was scary at first, then after the recording began with Brisbane's historical landmarks, we relaxed and enjoyed the views. The Brisbane Festival is on now, so we strolled through, and will be going to a show on Thursday evening entitled, "En Masse" Circa (AUS). There is live music, art exhibitions and several performances each night in the QPAC, (Queensland Performing Arts Center) during the festival. It reminded me of the People's Fair and the Taste of Colorado in Denver.
