Yesterday as we were walking back to our apartment we passed by this monument. We didn´t go inside it but we got great views from above. This monument is called ¨Tower of The Winds¨ which is an octagonal Pentelic marble clocktower in the Roman Agora in Athens that functioned as a horologion or "timepiece". It is considered the world's first meteorological station. I think that is really cool and impressive. It is appealing as well. The last pictures are at the entrance of the monument. Mom and I also came across a very lovely looking tree with the vibrant flower clusters with color yellow. I learned that it is called a Sweet Thorn Tree or an Acacia Karoo. They look like pom-poms!!! These flower clusters appear after good rain. It did rain once during our stay in Athens only for a short time but it did rain heavily. I´m glad we discovered this new tree, it is really beautiful and unique! -Angelina

Very nice photos! I believe there was an acacia w/ reddish orange blooms very similar to that going up the hill to the Leatham's home in Carmel Valley. I always ooo'd and awed at it. Just so beautiful. Thank you!
