The Space Needle

On Saturday, March 26, 2022 we walked to the Space Needle and went up 605 feet for the 360 degree views of downtown, Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, the Cascades and the Olympic mountain ranges. This Seattle icon was built for the 1962 World's Fair the theme being, "The Age of Space" and to this day symbolizes the innovative and forward thinking spirit of Seattle. I loved the views even as it was raining, I did not go on the glass floor section, but Angelina did. As my family all know, I am afraid of heights when I can see underneath me. If it is a solid floor, no problem. So we thoroughly enjoyed this awesome experience. A must see and do for Seattle! -Mona

The Space Needle was a wonderful first welcome to Seattle. Coming in from a 3 hour flight I was ready to see something spectacular. Learning about the Space Needle and all of its rich history was really something. After that we went and ate at a Thai restaurant we had seen earlier called Thai on 1. It was an awesome first evening in Seattle and I have loved seeing many of its popular spots! - Angelina
