Sydney MCA, Museum of Contemporary Art

The MCA is free admission, they operate on a donation basis, which I appreciate. The exhibits were creative, and both of the featured artists used wood bark as the material for their art. I found this to be pleasing , as I always collected drift wood, and used it to make sculptures (which I sold in a tourist shop in Carmel, CA). I loved the driftwood display, and the collection had so many shapes, we only featured a few. Much of the art was fresh and stimulating, using many different techniques or modes. One artist had incorporated visual media of his art in a couple of movie rooms, which is quite progressive. The drift wood pieces embellished with gems was also beautiful and natural at the same time. I enjoyed this museum immensely.-Mona

I thought the MCA had really unique art that I particularly would have never thought of making. I really liked the driftwood sculpture of the whale. I also thought that the carpet would look cool in our house. Overall it was an awesome museum.-Angelina

We highly recommend the MCA in Sydney.
