A beautifully sunny day led us to walk a couple of miles to the Isle de Barthelasse and then we took the free ferry back over. We were so excited to take a ferry again, and along came a Border Collie that is a blessed reminder of our buddy, Shadow. This one was named Joyce and was a gorgeous female, it made me miss our old friend, and our dog, Otto too. We ate a delicious leek quiche, looked in an art gallery filled with local masters, window shopped and hurried home to read our good books. I made a snack with bread, mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and olives that I quite liked. The street view on this last row is right next to our apartment from the square, fabulous location. -Mona
I really had a nice time walking in the country part of Avignon on the other side of the bridge today. It was nice to half a long walk with fresh air. After our walk we go to take the free ferry to get to the other side of the river. It was our first small ferry since Australia. It was also much quicker than walking back to the bridge again which I was glad about because I wanted to go home and read my book. -Angelina
