On Monday, March 28, 2022 we visited the Seattle Aquarium, and it is much larger than it appears from the front. The day was overcast, like Monterey often is, so perfect for viewing the sea life. We met an employee who had majored in Oceanography at Humboldt State University, and she was quite knowledgeable. The Giant Pacific octopus is plentiful in the waters of Puget Sound here. The one shown in the picture was brought in as a newborn, and is now two months old. She said they only live for 3-5 years. We saw clown fish, angel fish, sea urchins, sea anemones, California Sea Lions, and my favorite, sea otters. The employees were all very friendly and shared local information about the aquarium. Really beautiful aquarium and a fun gift shop too. -Mona
The Seattle Aquarium was a nice spot to visit on a cloudy day. I loved seeing all the fish but my favorite part was seeing the sea otters. One otter was very enthusiastic and friendly while the other sea otter curled up with its back to us. The seals were super cute too. I'm very glad this tourist spot was on our list. -Angelina
