September 19, 2018, we walked about ten minutes from our inn to the Roma Street Parklands here in Brisbane. Along the way I spotted a historic home with a tall fence and no tours, sadly. We really enjoyed the Molly Brown House in Denver a few years back. This park is worth a look, as the different areas are amazing. It has a huge amphitheater, a children´s playground, an open air yoga studio (with aerial views of greenery), Fern Gully, a lake, and a restaurant, where we split a mango gelato. The duck is a Greggor´s Duck and the others are Brown Stone Curlews, Angelina found them, she has a keen eye. I loved the various ferns and they reminded me of the redwood forest in Big Sur where many ferns grow also. A parkland keeper, John, posed for a picture, as we thanked him for all his efforts. It was a sunny day and an adventure we recommend!

WOW! So many beautiful things to take in... I love the ducks and curlews! I dig the seats, one of which Angelina is sitting on - a tomato as well as a neighboring winter squash! What a treasure of botanical beauty you stumbled on in the middle of a big city. I love it! Have fun!
