On January 16, 2019 after the chapel, the three of us walked to the Pont Des Arts, a bridge that crosses over the River Seine. This bridge is the famous "love locks" location, the locks were removed due to the fact that the increased weight was destroying the bridge. Now, locks are only allowed to be placed on the poles, shown here. This bridge connects the Institut de France with the central square of the Palais du Louve. The views of Paris and the River are so pleasing and so was the company. We walked through the flower market area and went to eat at a little cafe that Angelina and I found previously. It was so good to chat and eat with a friend again...we thank Rebecca for her taking time out of her busy schedule to tour Paris with us. Rebecca is an instructor of English at a few different Universities in the Paris area, translates for writers and is now taking Art Therapy classes. She and Jigme both live on a parkland and care for a Buddhist Temple, the surrounding two acres there, and all the festivities that occur in the temple. We hope to visit them there on our next trip to Paris. Jigme works for the Tibetan Council in Paris, and has the most interesting life story, we would have liked to visit with him more. Rebecca, we thank you for the afternoon. I loved walking through the garden shops, and would be there lots if I lived here. -Mona
