Today, January 4, 2019 Angelina and I walked 5.3 miles round trip, to the Park of the Golden Head, which was built around the same time as Central Park in N.Y. It is 219 acres and is beautiful with many activities to partake in. The land was donated by the George Lambert family and was deemed to always be free to the public and kept as a parkland. It is gorgeous! We walked around part of it and saw the zoo, the pony rides, the African Plains exhibit, and a kids area with boats on a lake and miniature golf. We also went in an under water tunnel to the memorial island and then the Gandhi memorial garden. We plan to go back on another day, as it is huge and we would like to ride one of the bicycle carts around the entire park. It is known as the, "Tête d'or" (Golden Head) a name found from a legend saying that a treasure with a Christ's head could be buried in the park. It is a peaceful, green space with many family friendly activities! -Mona

This was such a fun day I absolutely love this park. I especially like that the zoo is free. I can´t believe that the animals are out in the cold. I really loved seeing the giraffes they are so graceful and sweet. I loved the ponies so much they are adorable, I got to pet two, yay! We walked so much today but it was definitely worth it because this is the best park ever! I hope to go back again! -Angelina ⛲🐎
