Today, January 15, 2019 Angelina and I visited The Dome Church and the Tomb of Napoleon. The Musee de l´Armee was founded in 1905 when two museums merged, the current museum displays one of the world´s most inclusive collections of military objects and history. The French military history journeys through the Middle Ages to after the Second World War. This site is filled with history founded by Louis XIV in 1670 to house disabled soldiers and veterans, the Hotel national des Invalides is a heritage site which is quite remarkable. We toured the Tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte, which I had seen once before.
Here are some facts about him followed by some quotes:
Napoléon Bonaparte was a French statesman and military leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led several successful campaigns during the French Revolutionary Wars. He was Emperor of the French from 1804 until 1814 and again briefly in 1815 during the Hundred Days.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
If you want a thing done well, do it yourself.
A leader is a dealer in hope.
I believe this church is beautifully adorned with gold on the dome and is highly visible from the Eiffel Tower. We also liked the plants and playground in an adjoining park area. -Mona
