Monkey Temple (Galta Ji)
November 4, 2018 we visited the Monkey Temple in Jaipur, India. It was an interesting place with many macaques living in the hillside area surrounding the temple. I saw a group of boys playing cricket, and naturally I had to watch for a few minutes. Apparently the number one sport here is cricket, two is field hockey and three, polo. We had a guide and he made a special sound to call the monkeys, and we held out food (peanuts) in our open hands for them to eat. It was definitely monkey heaven and with a sure supply of food why would they go anywhere else? I really think that all animal lovers would certainly want to meet these family friendly creatures. Think Jungle Book and it will all be ok. -Mona
I liked going to the Monkey Temple it was fun to feed the monkeys and have them climb on your shoulders, but then I got sort of scared they would pound on my head. So, I only wanted a few to go on me. Our guide told us that if we fed and put the monkeys on our shoulders we would get good karma. This trip has brought a lot of karma to me, karma is great! -Angelina

It looks like you two had a lot of fun at the Monkey Temple. I wish I coulda been there too! When we lived on Winifred Drive 2 families had monkeys as pets. I was crazy about them. Have fun at your next stop! I sure enjoy viewing your blog each morning. Love Always, Chrissy
