Joyeux Noel, 2018!

We had a lovely Christmas Day in Avignon, France. Slept in, made a yummy breakfast, opened our selected presents and read our new books in p.j.´s all day long. We made a roast with potatoes and carrots for our feast and enjoyed being together, relaxing. We miss all of you at home in Colorado, California and Ecuador and hope your day is merry and bright! I particularly miss our church, Highland United Methodist Church, as we could not find one here that had a Christmas service earlier than 11:00 PM, so for the first time in

Angelina´s life, we stayed home and it was definitely different not to be with our church family. We know that Pastor Brad and everyone at HUMC rocked those four services, and we will try and check out the website for a revisit of one of those. We also did a face time phone visit with my Mom, Dad and Sister Christina and that was meaningful for us. All in all, a very happy day! Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas! -Mona

Wow, what a special Christmas we had in France! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable day. We had great food and yummy snacks. I started the new book I got just yesterday and am almost finished with it as it is so good. We had a very fun day, and I hope everyone had a great Christmas too! -Angelina

It sounds like a relaxing day! I am glad you rested and enjoyed. We had Christmas eve w/ the Jasper-Armstrong family at our home. Chuck made his wonderful glazed ham and I made my fav kale salad w/ bosc pear, local cow milk feta, pear vinegar reduction sauce, dried cranberries, and sunflower/red walnuts on the side. In fact I made that and sweet potatoes 2 days in a row. Those are my favs! We also had Yukon Gold taters on Christmas day with tri-tip and Galen & Katrina's wonderful butternut squash & black bean enchilada casserole. Neighbor Marilyn Brunet (family is from a lavender farm in Provence) brought a traditional dessert- orange slices with Grand Manier ( spelling?) poured over…
