Today, October 25, 2018, I awoke to a sunny day in Phuket, Thailand for my 55th Birthday! Angelina and I had a yummy breakfast from a local bakery and prepared to move to our new place for a week on the beach. I had the pleasure of opening three birthday cards from my Mom and Dad, my sister, Christina and Angelina. Thank you for thinking far enough ahead of time, I appreciate your sentiments and cards! Angelina, I thank you for your beautiful hand drawn card, it is exceptional and so special to me.
Next, we took a taxi, Mr. Sommai, (for the fourth ride from him) and it was pouring rain, but we made it and now it is hot, humid and sunny. The beach is like Cairns, AU when the tide is low it looks like a mud flat, when the tide is high, it is beautiful. Our apartment is spacious, light and our host, Darinee is so kind. We looked at our beach, walked to a restaurant and I had calamari, and vegetables. Angelina ate a baked potato and some of the veggies. I found a Thai Tea, yipee!
I have had a wonderful birthday and am excited to be here in Thailand, the land of a thousand smiles. I certainly have lots to smile about, thank you everyone for another awesome year! I thank my daughter, Angelina for joining me on this adventure. Love you, Mona
