Holiday Eats

Our second to last day, Angelina made her first ever omelette and it was delicious, thank you Angelina! Then our host, Stathis came up to teach us how to make a traditional Greek fried bread with feta inside, and Angelina also was the sous chef on that project. We could not remember how to spell his signature bread dish, so we googled it and there are two spellings we found for this dish, they are Ladopsomo or Tiganosomo.

Here are the instructions on how to make it:

Step One: You get dough to make it.

Step Two: Take a medium amount of dough, roll it into a ball, the smash it flat. Make as many as you like.

Step Three: Put a pan on the stove and put olive oil in the pan. Place the dough onto the pan and let each side fry for 3 minutes.

Step Four: Make sure the inside of the bread is cooked, if not cut it half open and let it fry.

Step Five: Your meal is ready!!! You can put anything inside it to top it off. Enjoy!

We would like to give an enormous thank you to Stathis for being a person who goes above and beyond for his guests. He spent time visiting with us and letting us know what places to see on Skiathos, we enjoyed them all. We will make the new recipe in the future, it was easy and yummy! We appreciate your sharing it with us. Our home away from home on this beautiful island was spacious, clean, quiet and had everything we needed and the apartment was tastefully decorated with a gorgeous view from the balcony. We would like to return to this island someday and revisit the wonderful people we have met. -Mona

It looks like you are getting into the holiday spirit! What lovely décor and the meranges (sp?) looks yummy! I see Angelina's fingernails are looking like Mommy's and her beautiful smile with those lovely teeth also look like Mommy's ! I love the blue door and window cover. Everything is so beautiful that it is worthy of taking a photo...I found that to be true in Italy. By the time you read this you will be in Italy . Love to you both, Chrissy
