Monday August 5, 2019 Mom and I rode bikes to my first day of high school academy. I locked my bike up, went inside excited and nervous for the day ahead. I was so happy to see my friends and acquaintances from Bryant Webster Jada, Hope, Ileana and Cassandra. I sat with them for the morning while we waited to be sent into the auditorium. Once we had our morning lecture in the auditorium we went outside to the football field and met new people from being in lines and doing activities like arranging ourselves from shortest to tallest and by birthday. Then, we were assigned to a LC (learning classroom) group that we will be with for all of high school. My LC teacher is the theater teacher so I have my first class theater and then I have LC with her. It is so cool that she will be my main teacher! I met two nice girls Hunter and Veronica and two funny kids both named Alexander. I am excited to get to know everyone in my LC as the year progresses and can't wait to start my very first day on the 19th! -Angelina
I got lots of exercise this week, as I rode with Angelina and met her after the academy was over each day. We are so grateful to North High staff for hosting this academy, it is such a superb idea to get Freshman oriented to their new surroundings for academic, social and physical learning adventures! We are excited about her attending North High School (her Papa, my Dad went there back in the day) and being a Viking! -Mona
