On November 5 and 6th I had the opportunity to see North High's fall show called Very Still and Hard to See. My friends Gwen and Tuva were in it, they were a part of the Theatre 4 class. I would've been in the class except there was a conflict with my Spanish class, it being during the same period. It was a bit of a bummer not to be in the show but I have Mamma Mia to look forward to. The show was very eerie but had elements of humor in it. I quite enjoyed it and was happy I got to see it two nights in a row.
Then, on November 12th I got to see the play Clue that my friend Iris was in. It had a really good plot and Iris played Mr. Green. I loved how the writers of Clue adapted the game and turned it into a very enjoyable play. The sets were amazing and they had a form that you could fill out, so that you could guess who the murderer was, where they committed it, and the murder weapon. -Angelina
I was so happy to be able to see both of these productions, both were top notch shows. I always love to see the young adults we know in their productions. I am always amazed at the professional level talent they share with us. The love of theatre is so evident in their enthusiasm for each role they play. Iris has been in plays and musicals with Angelina since they were eight years old. It was so neat to see Iris take the lead in a major role as Mr. Green in Clue, she totally rocked it! It was also fun to see the North High play, Gwen, Tuva, Fia and Tate did spectacularly as well. Thank you to all the actors and directors, well done! -Mona
I am glad you got to see your friends in these plays. I also saw a play of Clue in October, I believe, here at Chico Theater Company. It was well done and funny!
