Eiffel Tower

Today, January 14, 2019 Angelina and I finally arrived at the Eiffel Tower. What an experience for us, the view is spectacular from the second platform. We chose the elevator, as there are 1,710 steps (and I am not too fond of heights). Today, there was restoration going on at the top level, so it was unavailable. This architectural phenomenon is quite a sight to see, and was built in three years for the World's Fair in 1889. The engineer, Alexandar Gustave Eiffel's company designed and built the tower. We enjoyed the views, had lunch and bought some mementos then descended to the beautiful pond and garden area. We were happy to visit this iconic symbol of love in Paris! -Mona

Oh my goodness! I finally got to see my most anticipated landmark and city of my dreams. I loved the Eiffel Tower and seeing the views of Paris from the second level. The Eiffel Tower was designed for the World Fair to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution. The Eiffel Tower is as tall as an 81 story building and is the tallest building in Paris. I'd like to say that it's a gentle giant overlooking the grand city of Paris, and it protects all of the people who dwell in the city. Construction of the Eiffel Tower began in January 28, 1897 and was completed March 15, 1889. It was supposed to be temporary but well it's still standing, so, yay! I am so grateful to have visited and hope to come back another year! -Angelina
