Was Easter Morning we woke up to find presents from the Easter bunny also known as Mom and Grannie and Papa. We opened our chocolates, lip stuff and gave Grannie and Papa hard candies that had different flavors from Shuberts. It was a very calm morning and enjoyable as we got to see what each person recieved. My favorite gift that I saw was the gift Mom gave to Grannie which is the last picture that is a bunny that says "Will dig for chocolate" because metaphorically Grannie would certainly do that. Grannie's way of digging for chocolate is going to the store and buying lots of bakers chocolate for cookies and cake making! Although we recieved many nice things its important to remember that Easter is not a day for just presents and egg hunts that Jesus died for our salvation and then rose from the tomb reminding us that good conquers all and miracles happen. I'm so glad that we got to spend Easter with our family because our family will always be there for us no matter what and what a great way to spend Easter!- Angelina
I felt that we were so fortunate to be able to spend this glorious Easter with my family in CA. It had been so long since that had happened. The Easter Bunny did visit us all, and thank you to Shuberts' Ice Cream Shop in Chico for the Easter goodies. Christina gathered roses from the garden to place on the cross outside the parsonage. Pastor David from Trinity United Methodist Church set up an Easter cross for worshipers to place their offerings. I also admired the pagoda he made by hand for his fiancee, so I took some photos of his creation for her. It was a lovely day and is just the morning. Christina and Angelina dyed Easter eggs with a new technique, using powder that is translucent. They looked beautiful to me! Our Pastor, Brad from HUMC in Denver, included Angelina in our home church service by having her read verses and video the reading. It was a service she enjoyed being a part of, thank you Pastor Brad. Happy Easter 2020. -Mona
