Yesterday, November 17, 2018 we had our Citroen rental until 2:00 PM, so I drove us first to Ghlifoneri Beach and we were to continue on to Ghlisteri Beach as well, but the road was so narrow, and I had my doubts about the car, so we drove instead to Aghnondas Bay, it is the one with the boats and the Atlas figure. We then went to Stafilos Beach, where there were three fishermen and one woman feeding all the feral kitties shown in the picture with Angelina. We had to back up the hill and find an available parking spot, then walk down to the deserted beach. There we spotted the clever sign about leaving the place better or the same as you found it, the Girl Scouts (and my parents) taught me that. Skopelos is in Winter now and the air is a cool 50 degrees, today it is raining. There were absolutely no people near the beach, as the four people had driven off after we parked. The area was boarded up, and most likely full of summer homes awaiting the tourist season and warm weather. I am loving the peace and serenity here. Our room in Pension Kir Sotos overlooks the port, and is light and spacious. Our hostess is amazing, and we highly recommend this inn. The mountains are also gorgeous, and in the next few days we will try some of the hiking trails.

Skopelos is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region. The population is 4,696 locals. Skopelos can be reached by ferry from the mainland ports of Volos and Aghios Konstantinos. It is one of the most beautiful ports in the country, the archetypal hillside sprawl of dazzling white walls topped with terracotta tiles, with a ruined Venetian fortress overlooking, and dozens of chapels scattered within.
