The Elizabeth Picture Theater is a retro redo of the previous Irish Club (1919) in the heritage listed Tara House Building (1878), Brisbane, Australia. In 2017, on October 5, two brothers Peter and Stephen Sourris opened this glorious venue. We loved the decor, the costumes for the release of the Nutcracker in November, the comfy leather lounge chairs, the popcorn and of course, the movie. ¨Johnny English Strikes Again¨ is a hilarious comedy you must see. Most notably, there was a piano player, Andrew Petrou playing show tunes live in the lounge area of the theater. I absolutely loved his playing, he even indulged us in a boogie woogie song. His enthusiasm reminded me of my Uncle Wendell Hunt, who was a talented piano player, especially ragtime music tunes. The songs played in the theater also reminded me of my Mom, who played the piano while we sang, it was part of our upbringing to have piano playing and music in our lives daily. I remember the song books to ¨Oliver¨, ¨Camelot¨, ¨The Sound of Music¨ and old classics, thank you Mom and Dad for the piano lessons and singing we had in our lives, so happy to remember!

COOL! I love those 2 dresses ono display. Old-timey clothing is so beautiful. I have a Saturday off! Woo-hoo! wanted to go to The Galley for their Saturday cooking demo but alas, no demo today. Tonight I will go w/ Mom, Dad and Bev to CSU, Chico's Harlen Adams Theater for the Gala of the Symphony's fall season. It's a party for the symphony so they aren't playing but others are playing for them as I understand it. I'm not big on symphony music for long periods of time and Mother says this is to be a fun one called Candida or something like that! Any way, it'll be fun. Love you two. Have a great day!
